    Welcome, Highlights of the 2003 Methods Workshop, Expectations for this workshop = How best to implement the 2003 recommendations.


11:00 - 11:30

11:30 - 12:30 Break for lunch (there are many options within walking distance)

Afternoon Work Session; Open Discussion Format

12:30 - 1:30

    Define the desired hydrological regime or natural range of variation to be used as a benchmark for testing.

1:30 - 3:00

    Develop Conceptual Study Plan(s) and Budgets, focusing on adaptive management scenarios for study during a lower-flow year(whenever that comes back), but also getting a better handle of what characterizes the ecology of the study areas during "normal" years. Develop Index Locations. Based upon biological community, important and/or sentinel (sensitive) species from:
      Fish and Mussels
      Birds, Mammals, Amphibians and Reptiles
      Submerged Aquatic Vegetation

3:00 - 3:30 Initial design of mechanisms needed to reserve resources/funds until lower-flows return.

3:30 -4:00 Wrap-up
